Champs, Tech Elite: And The Awards Go To …
The 21st annual Channel Champions winners are joined by six first-ever Tech Elite 250 solution provider honorees By Steven Burke
Cisco, HP and Microsoft were the big winners Tuesday night, each walking away with five trophies in the 21st annual CRN Channel Champions awards ceremony. For the first time, CRN also handed out Tech Elite 250 awards, honoring six solution providers that have made deep investments in technology certifi- cations combined with unique profes- sional services methodology. Cisco walked away with Enterprise Networking Hardware, Network Security Appliances, SMB Network- ing Hardware, Unified Communications/VoIP and Videoconferencing honors.
HP, which has won more Channel Cham- pions awards than any other vendor over the
past five years, received awards for SMB Network Storage, Workgroup Color Printers, Volume Servers, Systems and Network Management and a Financial Factors award for SMB Networking. Microsoft won the first-ever Cloud Applications award and trophies for Business Intelligence, Collaboration Software, Data and Information Man- agement, and a Support and Satisfac- tion award for Systems and Network Management. “The Channel Champion award winners are some of our best partners,” said Glen Jodoin, vice president of marketing and operations for GreenPages Technol- ogy Solutions. “Cisco gets it. GreenPages was the first solution provider to receive an award during the evening, walking away with the Tech Elite award for virtualization.
Other Tech Elite award winners: for services, International Computer- ware Inc.; for networking, INX Inc.; for storage, AdvizeX Technologies; and for security, Force 3. The Editor’s Choice award went to Nexus Informa- tion Systems.
