THE OFFICIAL SHOW DAILY XChange Daily Channel Champions: The Shining Stars NEWS AND EVENTS FROM XCHANGE SOLUTION PROVIDER Last night marked the 22nd anniversary of CRN's Channel Champions, which highlights solution provider satisfaction with vendor's products and programs. All told, 115 vendors were rated in our study. Criteria were measured in terms of support, financial and techni- cal satisfaction. The big winner of the night was Microsoft, walking away with six Overall Channel Champions awards and clean sweeps in three categories: Data & Information Management, Business Intelligence and Collabora- tion Software. While Microsoft faced a bit more competition in Cloud Ap- plications, CRM Software and Middle- ware, it was able to get the Overall nod in those categories as well. Microsoft also received two subcategory awards in Backup and Recovery Software and Videoconferencing. Cisco won an Overall Channel Champions award in five categories including Enterprise Networking Hardware, SMB Networking Hard- ware, Unified Communications/VoIP, Videoconferencing and Network Secu- rity Appliances. Hewlett-Packard took home three Overall Channel Champions awards including a clean sweep for Volume Servers, Notebooks/Mobile Computers and Multifunction Printers. HP also was a financial factors winner in Mid- range Servers. APC earned top scores in technical and support satisfaction and financial factors for the Data Center and Power Management Category, earning it the Channel Champions award. Dell got top honors in both En- terprise Network Storage (SAN or NAS) and SMB Network Storage, while Intel swept the Processor cat- egory, as did Xerox for Workgroup Color Printers. In another intensely competitive segment, Network Cli- ent Security Software, Kaspersky Lab took top honors. One of our new categories this year was Tablets, and Lenovo took home the top prize. Symantec swept Client Security Software, and in Backup and Recov- ery Software clinched technical satis- faction and financial factors and tied for support satisfaction, still earning it the Overall win. For CRM, SAP won financial fac- tors, Oracle won support satisfaction, and Microsoft won technical satisfac- tion and garnered the Overall win.
